Shellac and Gel Reviews China Glaze, CND & ASP!

Hey guys I hope you are all enjoying your wonderful Wednesday! I am currently laying in bed waiting for my boyfriend to get off work and then it will be movie time hopefully! lol I made some delicious snow ice cream which I love right now. Since for some weird reason there is like 3 inches of snow outside before Thanksgiving but whatever, I get some amazing ice cream from it! Lets get on with the review shall we?...

Okay so I am going to start by talking about the CND Shellac (since I only own 2 bottles) . But to clarify I am reviewing the colors and also the longevity and things like that. You know me I love being in depth! haha

Okay so the first color is called Clearly Pink. Basically it is a clear pink, mainly used for french manicures. Now the second color I own is called Cake Pop. This is a very light lilac pink and I LOVE IT! It is so creamy and pigmented. Although when you apply it, it is streaky so beware of that! For CND's formula it is very thick (which is good) and it stays in place for the most part it doesn't seem to pull away from the tip of your nail, but it does seem to spread more which can be bad if you aren't careful. I really do enjoy CND's packaging but it is very deceiving..meaning it looks like clearly pink is going to be a light nude/peach shade but it obviously isn't. Now I know it clearly states it in the name but hey some clients don't read the name lol! CND lasts for about 2 weeks if you have avoided doing yard work and dishes. This product retails for about $15.00. The size of this product is .25fl oz or 7.3mL. What I really do like about this is that the brush is like a normal polish brush. Sometimes I find that the brushes are really short and just hard to work with but these I have no problem with! You can buy Clearly Pink HERE and Cake Pop HERE. Now keep in mind these need to be cured in a LED light or UV light.

Now onto the next brand which is ASP. This is actually a great find for me! I found these at my local Sally's Beauty Supply and they are only $9.99 I believe and they are really great quality. Right now their color selection isn't great because they are new this year to the company. The formulation is great and the pigmentation is spot on! The first color I want to talk about with you is Tease Me Turquoise which is a beautiful turquoise and is literally opaque within one coat. I mean I still apply the second layer but that is great, It isn't even streaky or anything which I love! It has a beautiful shimmer to it which is very fine. The next color is I'm Royalty Purple which is a dark plum color with gold and purple fine shimmer in it. The next color is called Passionate Pink which is the typical barbie pink with a gold shimmer to it. The brushes on these are wider than the CND brushes which is what I prefer. The consistency of this product is just like nail polish a little thicker but not much. Now you might all be thinking well for 9.99 they must be a lot smaller than CND and actually they are bigger. You get .30 fl oz or 9mL which is great! For the packaging I really do like it, it is nice and simple and is actually showing the true color. Now I have two more colors which is White Hot and Black Beauty...yes you guessed it a cream white and a cream black. They are both really great and super pigmented, not streaky even though it is a cream finish and OMG they are perfect! So the only thing I noticed that was a lot different from any of the polishes I am about to talk to you about is the smell. CND just smelt like regular polish now these ones just have a distinct smell to them..it almost smells a little more chemically to them so I'm not sure why that is but they are great! Plus since you can purchase these at Sally's if you have a card you can get them for $8.99 or if you are a pro they are $7.99! Purchase your ASP Gel Polishes HERE.

For the last brand I am going to be talking about and that is China Glazes Gelaze. Now these are basically China Glazes permanent and popular shades turned into a Gel formula! These retail for $11.99 and they are .33fl oz or 9.76mL. So you are getting more than CND and ASP but you are going to pay more than ASP and a little less than CND. So as far as the colors that I own I have Orange Knockout, Celtic Sun, Pink Voltage and In the Lime Light, these are all bright neon's which are perfect for the summer. These are again mostly opaque except for Celtic Sun. I also have Re-Fresh Mint and Peachy Keen which are two pastel shades. For this formula they are all pretty opaque and they are the same consistency as the ASP, like nail polish but a little thicker. These polishes also seem to have a different smell to them as well so maybe it just depends on the formulation. Now these polishes do pull away from the tip very badly so I suggest flash curing them in the light for 30 seconds or something. You can also get these at Sally's so again i you have the card you can get them for $10.99 and if you are a pro even less! I really do enjoy the packaging though, the outside actually looks like what you are getting and it is cute with the white caps! Purchase your Gelaze Polishes HERE!

So guys I am going to list my favorites in order best to worst. So my top favorite is ASP then CND and then Gelaze. The reason for that is because ASP is affordable and great quality and then CND is great quality but a bit more pricey and then Gelaze because it pulls away from the tip a lot! The formulation for Gelaze just needs a lot of work.

Let me know if you guys would like to see a review on the Red Carpet Gel Polishes because I have like a ton of those polishes that could literally only fit on one post! haha Anyways have a great Wednesday. <3 Emily

Foundation Review: Loreal Paris True Match Lumi

So I wanted to bring you a review of the Loreal Paris True Match Lumi Foundation. This item retails for 9.99 and can be purchased HERE.

So I guess lets talk about the Pros for this product I do like the packaging, I like that it does have a pump, plus it is very sleek and simple. I also love the finish of this product as well. I don't think that this item is over priced for a drugstore item. Really there isn't much else that i enjoy about this.

Here are the Cons: I can't find the perfect shade for my skin tone because it has too much of a pink undertone for me no matter what shade I try, I can make the shade classic ivory work for me. Then also I find that this really is attracted to my dry patches which is weird and I also finds that this takes forever to set on my face and it still feels sticky on my face and slides everywhere, with or without a primer and I have even set it with a powder but that kind of defeats the purpose, AMIRIGHT? haha anyways this is just a quick review for me for this wonderful Saturday.

If you guys can think of anyway this product might work for me let me know in the comments! I don't want my money to go to waste so I will be mixing this in with my new foundation I bought that I love and if you are interested in my updated drugstore foundation routine then CLICK HERE.

Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy yourselves! <3 Emily

Coastal Scents Hot Pots + SWATCHES and MAC Dupes and Review!

Hey guys! If you haven't seen my haul video for this then CLICK HERE. If your here because of the haul video then welcome! lol If you'd like you can subscribe to my blog and all that fun stuff! But lets get on with the pictures, shall we? :) If you would like to purchase these then CLICK HERE! Ok lets get started dolls!

So first off to begin on the website it says that Hot Pots are a 1-inch metal pan and that If you get one of their customizable palettes they will magnetize to them! These normally retail for .1.95 each but right now they are on sale for .99 and shipping was only about 3.00!! So go and get you some eyeshadows girls!! :) <3

Ok so the first color I picked was Peachy Copper.
Out of all the ones I ordered this was one that I could have lived with out. It is on the sheer side and it also has a lot of fall out to it. It is very similar to the other one I got called Bright Copper which I will talk about later on. Overall I would'nt recommend purchasing this one but any of the others are fabulous!
Here is a swatch of Peachy Copper: These are taken outside on an overcast day. It does have a nice amount of pigmentation but it just had a lot of fall out issues. The color is very buildable. On the website the color is described as a shimmery light copper hue and that is exactly what it is. It does state on the website that it is Semi-Opaque, which is exactly right. Also someone down below in the review section said that it is very similar to MAC's expensive pink.

The next one I choose was Bright Copper:
So compared to Peachy Copper I would definitely recommend you getting this one. They are very similar but this one is more opaque and very smooth and easy to blend. This could also be a dupe for MAC's expensive pink. But I love this one and it is seriously one of my favorites!
So here is a swatch of Bright Copper. On the website they desscribe the color as a metallic copper hue with a shimmer finish. It is beautiful and prefect for the fall time. I can't explain enough to you guys how amazing they are!! :)

Moving on to Amber Bronze:
Again I love this color it is amazing. They describe this as a rustic bronze hue with a shimmer finish and it is super opaque. I think that this is a great bronze shade for fall and again it is so smooth! I love it.
So here is Amber Bronze swatched. Again all of my swatches were taken outside on an overcast day. But this just has a great bronze sheen to it and super opaque as you can see!

Next is Aluminum Taupe:
This is another one of my all time favorites! I love this color sooooo much. On the website it is described as a sark, metallic silver hue with a shimmer finish and I somewhat agree with that but this color isn't dark. It is like a metallic silvery taupe and I am just in love with it. It is just perfect for me haha! :)
So here it is swatched and I just love the satin finish it has. They describe it on the website as Semi-Opaque which I would agree with but these is no fall out issues for this one. The color is also very buildable! It is a great basic color to have in your collection, I think anyway!

Next is Sunset Gold:
This is a very opaque creamy color! I love it and super easy to blend. This gold is more on the orange side and it is again great for the fall time.
Here is Sunset Gold swatched. On the website it i described as a golden bronze hue with a shimmer finish. Which is how I would describe this color too. Very smooth and a really great color especially if you aren't a fan of a brighter yellow like 18 Karat Gold is, which I will be talking about next. Also on a few reviews about this color on the website they said that it was like MAC's Amber Lights and I do agree with that!

Ok so here is 18 Karat Gold:
As you can see compared to Sunset Gold it is a lot brighter and more of a yellow gold. This one again, very pigmented and no fall out. It is so smooth and I just really like this color fall.
Here it is swatched. It has a great metallic finish to it and they describe this color as a glistening gold hue and they also say that it is Semi-Opaque but it is extremely Opaque, haha. :) LOVE, it will really help to brighten up your eyes too!

Next is Wine Berry:
This is absolutely beautiful! I love this color again one of my top favorites. It is great for fall and just beautiful an very opaque. LOVE IT!!! I definitely recommend getting this, if you are looking for a color like this!
Here is Wine Berry swatched it isn't super bright and it is a perfect transition color for any burgundy or plum shades you might have. On the website they describe this as a magenta hue with a shimmer finish and it is exactly that. This is again very smooth and just absolutely beautiful!!

Next one which is a tie for the top spot (LOL) called Raisin Berry:
This is absolutely stunning and I just love it. This is my definition of fall in one eyeshadow right here! LOL It is a beautiful burgundy and VERY opaque.
Here is Rasin Berry swatched! I love it and very opaque as you can see. On the website they describe it as a maroon hue with a shimmer finish! I definitely recommend this if you are looking for the perfect burgundy.

Last but not least is Raspberry Tart and this is tied with Raisin Berry for my top fave:
I can't get enough of this color it is a gorgeous plum with hints of lilac and AHH I love it LOL! :) It is very opaque as well and again no fall out issues with this one either just absolutely perfect for a plum eye!
Here it is swatched! They describe this one as a reddish-violet hue with a metallic finish. They also say that it is Semi-Opaque but I disagree. It is super opaque. I definitely recommend this one for anyone looking for a great unique plum shade!

Sample in True Love Quad:
They sent me a sample of (from left to right) Camel Taupe, Wishy Washy, Berry Grey and Steel Grey

Here is Camel Taupe swatched:
It is a great medium taupe brown and I really like it, the color is very buildable. It is described on the website as a creamy, warm brown with a satiny finish. It is very smooth and I definitely recommend this for an everyday brown!

Here is Wishy Washy swatched:
Now this one I don't really recommend, it is extremely sheer. The formula is very smooth and on the website they describe it as a muted grey hue in a matte finish. They also state that it is Semi-Opaque but I found that the color wasn't very buildable.

Next is Steel Grey which is my favorite:
I love this color so much it is very Opaque and the formula is perfect, very smooth and blendable. On the website it is described as a deep metallic grey with a shimmer finish. I LOVE it and I am definitely getting the full size.

Finally we have Berry Grey:
This is Berry Grey swatched. It is nice and opaque but a bit sheer, the color is very buildable and I really like it. It is described on the website as a soft shimmery black with a subtle hint of burundy and brown undertones. I really like this and also recommend this as well. It is a great everyday black!

Tell me in the comments what your favorite shade was!! :) Thank you so much for your support and taking some time out of your day to read this!! :)

Review for Sicklacquers!

Hey guys. So I have a really fun review for you today! I uploaded a video HERE with live swatches! Check it out and subscribe to my channel if you aren't already! Love you guys so much, you are all amazing!

Ok so lets go ahead and get started with the review.

Peggie was kind enough to send me two polishes! I absolutely LOVE them and they are very unique. Seriously one of a kind polishes. They are 3-Free and also Indie Polishes, which I have never had Indie Polishes before and so far I LOVE them.

The first one she sent me is called Green Goblin. It is a sheer green gel based polish. This is supposed to  be sheer and I love it this way.
As you can see it has different hexagonal glitters throughout the polish. There are many different colors and sizes which is really cool!

The next one she sent me is:
Berries and Cream which I love this and I am currently rocking this on my nails right now! Check it out on my INSTAGRAM!
This is based on a very light lilac color, with again various shapes and sizes of hexagonal glitters. There are pink and purple glitters throughout this polish.

Here are the colors swatched:
These colors are swatched on a clear acrylic nail, two coats and without a top coat. From left to right: Green Goblin is swatched with a Kelly Green base, Green Goblin swatched by itself and Berries and Cream swatched by itself!

Here is the color I used as the Kelly Green Base:
I used Revlon's Polish in Posh which is a bright Kelly Green which is a cream finish.

These polishes retail for 7.00 each for 15ML or 3.50 each for 5ML
That is all for my review! If you would like to purchase these for yourself, check out Peggie's links down below! Thanks so much for reading! Love ya all!! <3

Drugstore Concealer Review! *Video Coming Soon*

Hey guys, so I haven't posted on here in forever! So I wanted to get back to blogging before I get super busy again, I am bringing you a drugstore concealer review. Now I did not take these pictures, I just don't have the products except for a couple so I needed to look them up, sorry about that. But thank you all for you support it means so much to me. I love you guys and have a blessed day, now on with the review!

Okay so the first product I wanted to talk about is Garnier Nutrisse Anti-Dark Circle Roller:
This retails anywhere from 10.99 to 13.49. This can be found at any drugstore or Target as well! I love this product a lot! It covers up my dark circles really well and this is what I would call medium coverage, which is great and the best I have tried in the drugstore. Now the only con that I have found with this is that there is only 2 shades, a sheer tint (which is the one I use) and there is one for medium/deep skin as well. So it won't suit everyone unfortunately. This has a caffeine gel which wakes you up in the morning and the gel absorbs into the skin quicker. It blends really well and a plus is the roller ball applicator. The roller ball is supposed to help energize and stimulate micro circulation. Also there is lemon essence in the formula to help brighten. Overall I really recommend this and I love this product a lot. As a side note I also use this on any blemishes or red ares I might have and it covers them really well! Give this product a try!

Next I want to talk about the L'oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer:
This comes in 6 different shades and retails anywhere from 7.99 to 8.99. You can pick this up at any local drugstore and places like Target. Now for me I dislike this product a lot. I don't have super smooth skin and I do have pores they aren't super noticeable but I have somewhat noticeable pores, lets just say my skin is not perfect. This emphasizes my pores, it looks really cakey, it has a funky smell to it and this product is not for me. Yes it blends easily only if your skin is smooth. This would crease in any dry areas and fine lines. So I don't recommend this if you have dry skin. The other thing I find weird is that they emphasize a lot on the tip of the product, which is obviously going to die down when you use it for awhile. It won't always have that point like when you first buy it. But they say that the tip is for more precise areas and the side is for a larger canvas. I just overall don't recommend this to anyone with dry skin and also it feels heavy on the skin and you definitely can tell it has a silicone type feeling to it. Plus all of the shades were on the yellow side and I just couldn't find the right shade after many trial and errors. Not a fan of this!

L'oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer:
So this product is AMAZING! This retails anywhere from 7.99 to 10.00. Also can be found at any local drugstores as well as places like Target. This is a liquid formula and it has a brush applicator. This comes in 6 different shades and it blends perfectly! Plus this product goes a long way, when you see at the store you might think that it is small and that you are paying a lot for nothing when actually a little of this goes a long way. Although this did last me about a month maybe a month in a half a repurchased it over and over until I told myself I needed to try new things LOL. But it doesn't crease or look cakey. It literally looks airbrushed and it matches my skin perfectly. Words cannot tell you how much I LOVE this product. If you are in need of a new concealer try this!!

Wet'n'Wild Coverall Concealer Stick:
So the reason I picked this up was because MakeupbyTiffanyD said that for the price it was really good. So I was like what the heck I will give it a try. I did and I HATE it. This is very sticky and it is so hard to blend. It only comes in 3 shades and it retails for 1.99. I mean I didn't expect it to be phenomenal but I thought it would at least be decent. I am not too upset because I mean it was only 2 bucks. But I don't like it at all and it has all the same problems like the crayon concealer did. The lightest shade is too pink for me, it won't cover up any redness and it really tugs at my skin. Now I have drier skin on some ares but an oilier T-Zone but I just don't care for this at all.

L'oreal Paris True Match Naturale Mineral Concealer:

This product is okay but for the price I really don't like it at all. This retails anywhere from 9.99 to 10.48 and is actually becoming harder to find. At my Target I can still find it and also at Walgreens. This has very light coverage and comes in 5 shades. This is from their mineral line as you can tell by the picture but in my opinion it's not worth 10 bucks! This is not buildable at all and the packaging is very bulky. I just feel like it won't cover really any redness and if it does, you can still see the slightest bit of pink to the area. Not a huge fan because of the price and packaging.

That is all for my Concealer Review if you would like please check out my video: (will be linked here once uploaded) Please don't forget to subscribe and thank you guys so much for my support. Love ya <3

You guys are so amazing.

MAC Dupes Round 2!

Hey guys so I know this post is a day late!! I am sooooo sorry. But my friend came over yesterday and we were talking all things wedding!!! lol She is engaged not me, just to clear that up I am well...SINGLE. Lol Anyways I am bringing you a MAC Dupe blog post full of swatches so lets get started shall we!? :)

Okay before I begin I wanted to let you know a couple days ago I posted a review for Performance Colors and I noticed that some of her lip products are dupes for some MAC lipsticks! So I will have her info at the bottom of the blog post. ENJOY! Also the video for this will be uploaded tonight so please SUBSCRIBE so I can be in your YT feed! CLICK HERE FOR YOUTUBE VIDEO

Ok so the first dupe I wanted to show you guys is
MAC - Viva Glam Gaga and Performance Colors - Bubble Gum Pink.
On the left is MAC and the right is Performance Colors. They are exactly the same shade, they are both very creamy but here's the good part MAC's is 15.00 and Performance Colors is 5.00!! I was so excited because they are very affordable and I am almost out of the MAC one!

Next I have
MAC - Marquise D and Performance Colors - Buff.
Mac is on the left side and on the right is Performance Colors. They again are basically identical but MAC has more of a pinky undertone to it but I still say it's a close match!

So this is the one MAC lipstick that I didn't purchase because I had similar colors and that is MAC - Viva Glam Nicki 2.
But the Performance Colors - that is more wearable and I thought you guys would be interested in is called Cool Pink. The other colors I have shown is Barry M - 129 and Revlon - Darling. (These were from my previous MAC Dupe Blog CLICK HERE FOR THAT BLOG)
On the left is Barry M, in the middle is Performance Colors and the one on the right is Revlon. Again this is just very wearable compared to the other two but it is not exact!

Finally these aren't MAC but I use them a lot and I thought I would share it with you because you can't get either of these products anywhere anymore.
These two products are from Bath and Body Works Alice in Wonderland Line. The lipgloss is called Alice and the little balm is called Tardy. The dupe for this is also by Performance Colors in the shade Juicy.
The one on the left is Alice, in the center is Juicy and on the right is Tardy. Now Juicy is a lipstick not a gloss but they are very close. They are all corals and if you want it to be glossy just add a clear gloss over the top.

So that is it for my DUPE blog post. I hope you enjoyed and as always check out all the links below!
