Life Update ++ First Term at Kaplan University! ~School Break~

Hey dolls, I know there are some of you that are very curious about my Kaplan experience so far. I am currently done with my very first term. Now I did update you on week 7 and also right before I started. If you didn't know there are 10 weeks in one term at Kaplan and you should have at least 2 classes you are taking.

For my first term I had College Composition 1 and I also took Preparing for a Career in Early Childhood Development. Before I go any further I am going for a BS in Early Childhood, just to refresh your memory! If you would like the entire breakdown of my degree plan please let me know and I will gladly post it, for me before choosing Kaplan I couldn't find it and never really thought to ask about it.

My instructor for College Comp was Alicia Rominger, and of course this class is a writing class and when I started I really didn't like writing because I had such a hard time with it in high school. But throughout these 10 weeks I have learnt so much about writing and I also received an A in the class which is a first for me! My professor was very thorough and had a good sense of humor but also cracked down on all of the important stuff. None of the assignments that were assigned to was were too overwhelming. They we practically perfect. You didn't have to write a stellar essay and she didn't expect you to know what you were doing either. I was extremely thankful for that. Discussion was always great and the journals every once and awhile was a good way to let off steam, for myself personally.

For my Preparing for a Career class my professors name was Kenneth Cline. I really enjoyed this class a lot! First off my instructor was so hysterical and really always had great conversations with us as a class. He made things easy and challenging. When we had to do assignments he was always there for us and explained everything very thorough. His class was just amazing and also such an eye opener for me to some things. His class was another great class!

I really enjoyed both classes a lot and honestly they were both my favorite so far. Yes they are my first 2 but I felt like they were both useful and I actually did learn something from them.

Now moving onto my education advisor, she is no help to me. I literally email her all the time and I receive nothing back and then weeks later I get a phone call that I somehow missed and then when I call back I get nothing. I am calling during her normal work hours and I don't know, she hasn't been very helpful to me.

The financial aid department hasn't been very helpful either, I received a loan to take care of all of my tuition but they were saying I won't get it unless I filled out this paperwork, that I have filled out a million times and they kept losing it on their end. So that was extremely frustrating to me. I finally got that figured out and now I need to fill out my 2015-2016 FASFA but I haven't gotten around to it yet. But they haven't called me nagging yet anyways haha.

Well guys I know this is an extremely long post on my life but hey I haven't done one of these in a few weeks! But as always I will talk to you guys later. Go watch some of my videos and give me some love.

My Life Update! Week 7 at Kaplan.

I just wanted to do a quick update and let you guys know what is going on in my life. First off it is week 7 out of 10 weeks for my first classes at Kaplan. I am so excited and sad that my classes are almost over in 4 more weeks or so. I seriously love college even if it is a struggle! I like both of my professors and so far my Kaplan experience is wonderful! I was really hesitant because of certain things I had heard but it is completely different for me. I am getting ready to start a seminar for my English class. I really have learnt how to write essays 100% better than I ever have and that is seriously so amazing and I am extremely proud of myself. The only thing that gets me down is when my professor says my assignment is perfect and then I don't get a perfect grade even if I am missing 2 points. BTW vlogs will be back as soon as I get my vlog from last weekend up! I have been getting over a cold of something and I finally feel great to vlog again! I hope you understand. Anyways I have to go back to class but I will talk to everyone later. :)

Concealer Palette Review ++ SWATCHES! Inexpensive and Full Coverage

Hey guys! So I just recently bought this product about 2 weeks ago! I filmed a review video on it which is at my YOUTUBE CHANNEL LINK HERE. But in that video I promised you guys a swatch blog post, so that is what I am doing today! You can purchase this palette for $2.99 on AMAZON LINK HERE. Lets get into the swatches!

So for the packaging, it is nice and sleek and very compact! Great for traveling and not bulky. The only downside and you will see in the next picture is there is no mirror. It is hinged and it does stay up on its own.

As you can tell I have used this, I was thinking I should clean it up but, nah I want to be real! I have used the highlighter, color correctors and two of the concealers. You get 12 concealers, 2 color correctors and 1 highlighter!
Here is the palette from the top looking down. As you can see I have already hit pan on the 2 concealer shades I use. But I think that is mainly because I just keep applying a lot! haha

The first swatch is of the highlighter. This is very subtle but very natural. Normally these shades are never wearable but this one is! Great consistency as well.

Now I have pictured the 2 color correctors. These are great as well! Now just a little reminder green is for redness and pink is for dark spots, circles etc. These work wonderfully. I even recommend to use the pink if you are fair like me and I mean ghost white, as a concealer by itself. It will really help to brighten! These are very creamy just like every other product in here!

Starting at the top that is the concealer I use under my eyes! These are all nice and hydrating, but you do have to set these with powder, but what's new? I use that middle color sometimes to blend out my concealer into my foundation. The bottom shade I haven't used but I am going to see if these work as eyeshadow primers!

Now these shades I have not used for anything. But these are still very creamy and very pigmented!

Same goes for these, I haven't used these shades but again very creamy! This palette would be great for freelance makeup artists.

These are the last 3 colors in the palette. The top one I use for bronzing and I think the middle shade would be great for contouring for myself and all the other pale princesses. They are all very creamy and extremely opaque as you can tell by the photos!

So those are the swatches and for a $2.99 you just can't beat that price. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone! If you are just starting out with cream products or if you want to find something affordable for your collection!!! I hope you enjoyed.
